Students gathered at the University of Hong Kong to find an empty space where the 'Pillar of Shame' statue had been. The statue commemorated the pro-democracy protesters killed during China's Tiananmen Square crackdown in 1989, and was removed by the Council of HKU 'based of external legal advice.'
