Jeep Wagoneer S: 600bhp electric SUV's interior revealed

Range-topping premium SUV to launch next year in US; bound for Europe in 2025

Jeep has revealed the interior for its upcoming, all-electric Wagoneer S - its 600bhp premium electric SUV that will lead the American brand’s electric future.

Built predominantly for US buyers, the 5m-long premium SUV, which could also be considered an electrified rival to the Range Rover Sport, will arrive in 2025 and will feature a screen-centric interior to cater for both the driver and passengers.

In the newly released images, the Wagoneer is shown to have at least four digital screens. There’s a digital driver’s display behind the steering wheel, a large central touchscreen infotainment system, and an equally large screen for the passenger. 

There’s also a fourth screen, used for controlling in-car features like climate control and seat heating, positioned centre and below, similar to the Audi Q8 E-Tron. 

The Wagoneer S also features several buttons on the steering wheel, plus what appear to be haptic feedback ‘buttons’ on the centre of the dashboard. Jeep says a panoramic sunroof is also standard, plus ambient lighting, while a 19-speaker audio system will be available as an option. 

Set to launch first in its home country of the US in 2024, the Wagoneer S will also be sold in limited in both left- and right-hand-drive European markets. That means we’ll see it at some point in the UK.

It will arrive with a range of around 373 miles and will top a new seven-car line-up for Jeep in the UK, which includes the already on-sale Jeep Avenger and 2025-bound Jeep Recon.

A fourth EV will also join the range in the future, which CEO Christian Meunier has described as a look into the future of the brand. It’s expected that this fourth EV will arrive in Europe by 2030. 

The Wagoneer S will be one of the first models to sit on parent company Stellantis’s new STLA Large architecture. This mirrors the much-anticipated Wrangler-esq Recon, which it will share the majority of its underpinnings with.

The range-topper will arrive with a raft of premium features, the brand promises. It will pack 600bhp and be able to sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.5sec. What kit it will use to do this has yet to be confirmed.

In the US, Jeep already sells the Wagoneer and current-range-topping Grand Wagoneer after reviving the storied nameplate – first used in 1962 – in 2020 as the base for a new family of premium SUVs.
