A dozen or so lawyers in a loosely organized grassroots group have volunteered to do pro-bono work for demonstrators arrested by Charlotte police during the demonstrations against the murder of George Floyd. Many of the attorney are veterans of the demonstration following the 2016 Charlotte police killing of Keith Lamont Scott and the 2013 police killing of Jonathan Farrell. Some are new to Charlotte.
