Convicted payday titan Scott Tucker’s appeal of a $1.3 billion fine from the Federal Trade Commission will land at the U.S. Supreme Court later this year. The FTC levied the fine after a lengthy investigation into Tucker’s payday lending operations, which made small loans at usurious rates and used deceptive terms and aggressive practices to collect the debts, The Kansas City Star reports.
