Regional stocks: Apple earnings lift market

Apple Inc. lifted Wall Street on the first day of trading since the tech giant delivered an upbeat earnings report. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 89.16 percent to 13,090, the NASDAQ closed up 68.03 percent to 3,029 and the S&P 500 closed up 18.72 percent to 1,390. The Davidson 99, which measures stocks in seven western states, including 19 in Oregon, closed up 3,44 points to 178.69.
