San Francisco Symphony musicians threaten to strike

Disgruntled musicians at the San Francisco Symphony, who have been performing without a contract for three months, say they're preparing to go on strike over wage and benefit disputes. But the Symphony says its violinists, cellists and other musicians are already among the highest paid in the nation. The Musicians' Negotiating Committee has been in contract negotiations for eight months with the Symphony’s management, according to the labor group. On Tuesday, they voted unanimously to authorize…
