The creator of McDonald's Big Mac has died

James Delligatti, who created the iconic Big Mac sandwich for Oak Brook, Illinois-based McDonald's Corp., has died at age 98. Delligatti passed away at his home on Monday, according to The Associated Press via KDKA-TV. He was a McDonald’s franchisee in the Pittsburgh area when he came up with the double decker burger, which first sold at his Uniontown store at 45 cents per sandwich back in 1967.
