Changes at the top: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania names new CEO

The long-time CEO of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is stepping down from the post later this month, setting off a chain of promotions at Penn Medicine. Garry Scheib, the chief executive at HUP for the past 17 years, is leaving that post as well as his role as COO of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Scheib will remain in a part-time role at Penn Medicine, and serve in teaching and mentoring roles. Three other Penn Medicine executives are taking on new roles that coincide…
