Will Peyton Manning run for statewide office in Tennessee?A new article in The Tennessean picks at a question currently making the rounds in political circles: Will Peyton Manning run for U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander’s seat in 2020? The idea picked up steam in January, when Politico reported that Alexander will not run for another term in 2020, leading “several Republicans” to wonder if the former University of Tennessee and NFL quarterback would run for his seat.
