Markelle Fultz, about to become the NBA's newest star, is really old school, and an old soul
Tuesday, 20 June 2017 () One morning in Seattle, then-Washington men’s basketball coach Lorenzo Romar was touring a group of recruits around campus. He brought them to Markelle Fultz’s apartment and heard the smooth sound of Sam Cooke’s voice, singing a song released 34 years before Fultz was even born.
While we can't be too sure how the NBA draft will shake down from #3 and beyond, it was unanimously thought that Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball would go #1 and #2 respectively. Now, that assumption may not be as concrete as once thought.
