'No Politician In History Has Been Treated More Unfairly' .. According To Trump Himselfby

Say what you like about US President Donald Trump – his election campaign made no secret of his bombastic confidence and it is likely that this is what helped him to become the current Commander in Chief – but even at the height of crisis and media conjecture into just how well he is doing as leader of the free world, the former Apprentice star continues to defy critics. This week, he has grabbed further headlines by stating that ‘no politician in history’ had ever ‘been treated worse or more unfairly’. Trump’s comments come after the President appeared to affirm why he shared certain data with Russia in a series of tweets earlier this week, and at a time when his administration is still trying to fight back flames licking up from his sacking of FBI director James Comey – during an investigation into his staff’s alleged involvement with Russian intelligence.

Trump’s administration, and of course Trump himself, continue to provide the media with a seemingly endless soap opera of shocks and truly bizarre moments. From launching a widely decried travel ban upon certain Muslim nations to enabling missiles to attack the Middle East, he is a President whom many will forget in a hurry – and at the height of mania surrounding his alleged sharing of information with Russia – which his team has advised the press is not inappropriate – his latest soundbites captured in a speech to Connecticut’s Coast Guard Academy perhaps don’t help to soften the blow that his team has been dealing with this week.

There have been further shockwaves reverberating in relation to Trump’s alleged involvement with Russia as congressman Justin Amash advised that the President could face impeachment were certain allegations proven true. Certainly, many media outlets are reporting that impeachment may be on the horizon depending upon the scale of the President and his team’s involvement with Russia. However, it is still far too early to say what will happen – he still has the support of many Republicans including Paul Ryan, but even veteran Republican John McCain admitted this week that the current administration could be heading towards a scandal to rival that of Watergate. The Republican Party is facing a revolution of sorts – and where it will all end? One thing’s likely – Trump will remain confident in his abilities as leader until the last.
