*LAS VEGAS, NV / ACCESSWIRE / November 8, 2021 / *Polynesian Football has become synonymous with excellence. This has been accelerated through the emergence of the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame (PFHOF). Its mission is to honor the greatest Polynesian football players, coaches, and contributors.

The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame was established by Founders and Super Bowl Champions Jesse Sapolu and Ma'a Tanuvasa. They were assisted by Kevin S. Kaplan, Chairman, and CEO of Coaching Charities.

"The idea for the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame actually came to fruition on a school bus in Pago Pago, American Samoa. Kevin S. Kaplan, Ma'a Tanuvasa, Coach June Jones and I were there on a Goodwill Mission to help the people of American Samoa," said Jesse Sapolu.

Since its inception, the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame has awarded over $250,000 in scholarships to Polynesian youth and is a source of great pride to everyone in the Polynesian Community. One of their most recognizable programs is the Polynesian Bowl, which has become one of the premier high school all-star games in the United States.

The Polynesian Bowl, broadcast live on CBS Sports Network, is played in January of each year in Honolulu, Hawai'i and features 100 of the topped ranked high school players in the nation. Players are of Polynesian as well as other ancestries. "It was Jesse and Ma'a's vision to provide an opportunity to share Polynesian culture with people from all backgrounds, said Kevin S. Kaplan.

The organization also presents the Polynesian Bowl National Combine & Showcase annually during March in Las Vegas, Nevada. It has become of one the largest high school football camps in the United States.

Today, there are approximately 400 NCAA D1 and 70 NFL players of Polynesian ancestry playing football today. Three Polynesians, Junior Seau, Kevin Mawai, and Troy Polamalu have been recently inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame's permanent home is located at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, Hawai'i. It is there where over 50 Polynesian football legends will forever be recognized and honored.

"The impact of Polynesians in the great sport of football has been significant, with the best yet to come," said Kevin S. Kaplan.
