Motorola ‘Photon Q’ QWERTY slider headed to Sprint

Boy Genius Report
Wednesday, 20 June 2012

Motorola and Verizon have offered QWERTY Android sliders since the release of the original DROID in 2009. According to an image found on the Android Central forums, the nation’s third-largest carrier Sprint may soon offer a QWERTY slider from Motorola as well, thanks to the launch of a smartphone that resembles the DROID 4. The handset looks to be equipped with a 4.3-inch display and will most likely support 4G LTE connectivity. Perhaps the most interesting feature is on the software side; the smartphone runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and contains on-screen navigation buttons, similar to the rumored DROID RAZR HD. No other details were given, but the the device in question could come to market as the Photon Q. Read
