Thanks to that brief but memorable lightning storm a little while ago, the three-day heat wave we've all been suffering through seems to have been somewhat broken. But this heat wave has been hardest on our little furry friends—above, click through for photos of some desperate dogs who try everything to cool down, including sitting in front of the AC, swimming in the East River, wrapping themselves in a wet towel, and even digging a ditch to sit in.
