Woman becomes Boston EMT after medics save brother from bullet wounds
Monday, 3 December 2012
Taishana Lewis called her younger brother on a warm June night in 2009 to see if he wanted a ride home, but there was no answer. She soon learned that Matthew Lewis-Grant had been shot five times while leaving a barbecue. Thanks to the efforts of Boston EMS responders, Lewis-Grant survived the drive-by shooting. Grateful for her brother’s second chance at life and inspired by the commitment of emergency responders, Lewis will graduate from the Boston EMS Academy this morning.
