Biden faces backlash from both sides for building new border wall in Texas

US President Joe Biden is facing criticism from both Republicans and Democrats over the decision to continue construction of the border wall in Texas. Despite previously calling it an ineffective policy solution, Biden claims he is unable to halt the work due to funding signed off by his predecessor, Donald Trump. The Biden administration has also waived several federal laws to allow for more barriers to be built along the US-Mexico border.
