In response, to Trump’s tweets a hard-left activist group burned several American flags in New York City in front of the Trump International Hotel. Despite Trump’s beliefs, it was ruled by the Supreme Court in 1989 that flag burning is not a crime, but a type of protest. The hard-left activist group was in the right.
