On Thursday, the first candidate-driven statewide recount for a presidential election in 16 years began in Wisconsin, a state that Donald Trump barely won by less than a percentage point over Hilary Clinton, even after polls had predicted Clinton to take the state. The recount was requested by Green Party candidate, Jill Stein, who wants to push for recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, to result in a Clinton victory over Trump. Milwaukee, is planning to recount the ballots by feeding them through the same machines that counted them on the election night. Stein urged to manually recount the ballots, but lost a court challenge this week. The Wisconsin recount is estimated to cost about $3.9 million. Stein paid almost $1 Million for the recount in Michigan, which is scheduled to begin on Friday.
