News video: John Williams to Begin Composing Music for Star Wars Episode 8This week it was revealed that John Williams will begin the process of scoring Star Wars: Episode VIII in December. Williams reportedly expects to continue the process through into April 2017. This leaves a 5-month time span for Williams to make the movie's score really shine and potentially give him more time to spare since Episode 8 won't release until December. The legendary composer has been nominated for 50 Academy Award and is responsible for the soundtrack for every Star Wars film thus far, including last year’s Episode VII – The Force Awakens.
