wegmans, helping you make great meals easy. >> tenesha: joann shenandoah s here who has o performed at the white house and other places. >> sistina: how are you? >> i'm slowly healing, friends family the vibration of music is something that i've always been in tune with as you already know. and i was lucky enough to name bambmeadbambi, she came over afs struck from behind. .i primarily what happened was, worked for the attorney general eric holder on children exposed to violence for a whole year. my immune system suffered greatly because of it, it was very, very strenuous, very tiring very exhausting very heart wrenching work. however, very good things came from a report that we submitted of 286 recommendations. and this not only affects necessitate of children but children nationwide that are involved in violent acts. or victims of. so i did that. and at the same time, i contracted cdiff, i performed in korea, i had a couple lungs full of pneumonia and then my whole system kind ofen cdis is a very deadly virus. so the doctors told me right now what dit was shut down my organize significance, my whole system. but st. joseph hospital, amazing, they shipped me to strong, to the mayo clinic and i was in the hospital with thousands and thousands of needles since that time and primarily all the stress of that, and included with a fatty liver, caused me liver failure. so i'm on a list at the mayo clinic for a liver transplant. but i've been able to drop my scoscore substantially about. >> tenesha: bambi talk about how the music therapy works. >> music therapy is vibration, it's the music off the strings which is pure vibration. the harp is most similar to the human voice. and i studied in '98 actually i began studying to become a certified therapeutic heart practitioner with the program out in california and i became are certified in 2000. so i've actually been doing this for almost 17 years. taking the harp to individuals, playing for them. trying to find their resonant tone. we all vibrate to a different tone. and so it's very important, like joann finds that the e note is very healing for her. so we work around that. and she will often sing around that note. and we find that to be very healing for the body. so it's wonderful work. and i can combine my love of nursing, i'm a registered nurse and my love of music. and when i heard about harp therapy, i thought why not? that's perfect! >> sistina: wonderful. joann we have to talk to you about this one album, one world christmas. haining topics a little bit, tell bus the album and what fans can expect. >> i think they can expect a song that i wrote while his holiness was here. i was thinking about one world one mind coming together, all creatures walking this planet. living together as one, no matter what age race religion. and/or i should say political stance. anyway. [ laughter ] >> tenesha: perfect for this time! >> and our iroquois women, we had a great influence on our country. so all that coupled with my experiences in life, i wrote this song called one world and that's comes from one world and christmas of course i had a chance to sing in bulembu at manger square on christmas eve in fronts of thousands of people. and the cover of the album is actually a picture that i took of where baby jesus was born, the manger. and some people don't have a clue what that looks like or would be too afraid to go. and i say we fear fear itself more than anything. not living our life to a degree where we say hey, why don't i try that? you know let's give it a shot. so being that i have a lot of background in.christianity because i went to bible school so to speak, and i have an aunt who loves christmas mutually, she's always been after me to do an album. i suppose that was in part, also i knew that bambi would lend some beautiful vibration for this album. i know people are going to love it, i've already heard it extreme loud in front of thousands of people and it was just glorious. >> sistina: we want you to know that we have two
