Transcript: 'Mission: Impossible' TV Show Star Martin Landau Dies at 89

Academy Award-winning actor Martin Landau has died.

He was 89 years old.

Landau's publicist confirmed  the actor died after "unexpected complications" during a short stay at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Landau was probably best known for starring in the "Mission: Impossible" TV series in the 1960s.  SEE MORE: Horror Movie Legend George Romero Dies At 77 But he also found great success on the big screen.  His role in Tim Burton's 1994 film "Ed Wood" scored him an Oscar and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor.

And near the end of his career, he  landed a role  on the HBO series "Entourage." Landau  leaves behind  his two daughters.
