off."((jacque)) strong words after the citizens advisory committee makes its final recommendatio n... on the caddo confederate monument.((jacque))good evening and thanks for joining us... i'm jacque jovic.((dan)) and i'm dan jovic.((dan)) the committee says the monument should stay... and they're asking for additions.((jacque)) nbc 6's jeane' franseen joins us now to explain.jeane'... jeane'...(( jeane))dan and jacque... not only are they wanting to keep this confederate monument here at the courthouse.... they also voted to add another monument. the citizens advisory committee votes to keep the confederate monument at the caddo parish courthouse.(james justice, resident)"it's history. i don't see a problem with it."along with recommending a civil rights a civil rights monument go next to it.(david bagley, resident) "i think that sounds alright. it equals out there."(marvin taylor, resident)"money wise, i don't think that's the best idea, but the bigger picture maybe it will balance everybody out."member of the advisory committee... david morris... says that's the worst decision they could've made.(pastor david morris, citizens advisory committee) "it's ludicrous to add something else to what's already there when we already knew that it's an expensive task to move."the bill to build another monument would come either from tax payers or a public/private partnership. though the advisory committee has completed their task... morris says it's been an uphill battle listening to some of the public's comments. (pastor david morris, citizens advisory committee)"i would challenge those people that think slavery is a good thing, i would challenge them to be a slave for seven days and have to go through everything our early ancestors had to go through."caddo commissioner lyndon johnson says now the commission has heard from the public... it's time for them to make the final decison. (commissioner lyndon johnson, caddo parish commission)"ready to vote and my vote is to move it still, even with the recommendation from the advisory committee."
