Transcript: Speaker Ryan: Sexual Misconduct Allegations Against Roy Moore are Credible, He Should Step Down

As more women accuse Roy Moore of sexual misconduct, House Speaker Paul Ryan is calling on the Alabama Senate candidate to step down.

At a press conference Tuesday Ryan said quote… "Number one, these allegations are credible.

Number two, if he cares about the values that he claims to care about, then he should step aside." And according to a new poll… most Americans agree. 60 percent of voters say Moore should step down… according to the Morning Consult/Politico poll. 16 percent saying he should stick it out.

The rest… 24 percent… would not share their thoughts or were unsure.

More and more lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have been calling on Moore to step aside.

Last week the Washington Post reported of a sexual encounter between Moore and a 14-year-old girl when he was in his thirties. 5 women now accuse him of sexual misconduct.

Moore has denied the allegations.
