In recent years Genesis chapters 1-11 have been under assault not only by liberals but by some that are identified as being within the evangelical camp.
For decades, many who want to be identified as Christians but turn to science to interpret Scripture has viewed these chapters not as history but as His Story.
Some evangelical leaders have shifted in that direction as well.
In this few, there may be tidbits of history in the text, but the text is not historically true.
They are little more than faith fables for the faithful.
