It follows the exploits of Captain Marvel, also known as the alter ego of Billy Batson, a young radio broadcaster who gains superhuman powers when he utters the word "Shazam." As Captain Marvel, Billy battles against the evil forces of the villainous Scorpion, who seeks to obtain the mystical powers of the ancient wizard Shazam for his own nefarious purposes.
