Been trying to get him out there for years, just to go hunting in general and he's finally ready.
So proud of him.
I want to thank everyone, Chase Pennycuff (other 1/2 of SouthernDraw and Friend), Todd Mullins (Childhood BestFriend/Family), Richard Amaro (Fathernlaw/Grandpa), Juan Lemus (Legend - allowed us to hunt his property), and Amy Parker (My Wife for Being Awesome And Not Ever Caring What We Do as Long as We aren't Hanging with Other Women :P jk) This is just part 1, this weekend turns into one of the greatest moments as a father.
Just can't get over it, but I want to show everyone (especially the kids), it takes getting after it.
When I was a kid I used to watch the primos videos etc etc, and I didn't have a hunting family.
I got a 20 gauge and just started walking in the woods to hunt, and was quickly discouraged because monster deer weren't just jumping in front of me.
Although some of this may not be the most exciting, it's necessary to tell the actual full story, of Malachi Daniel Parker (A savage) and his first turkey adventure.
