UC hires basketball coach to replace Cronin

The University of Cincinnati has reached just across the Ohio River for its next men's basketball head coach, hiring local native John Brannen from Northern Kentucky University to replace Mick Cronin. Brannen was 81-51 in four seasons at NKU and took the Norse to the NCAA tournament in two of its three seasons of eligibility after rising from Division II to Division I.
