Cirrus planes adopt emergency auto-landing tech from Garmin

Planes from Cirrus Design Corp., the Duluth-based aircraft maker, will be among the first to use a automatic landing system unveiled this week by Garmin. Cirrus said that its Safe Return system — set to be included in its Vision Jet planes — can control and land a plane without human intervention in the event of an emergency.
