Payless ShoeSource has emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy with a new management team and plans to restart its U.S. business. The Topeka-based discount shoe retailer first filed for bankruptcy in 2017, then for the second time in February 2019, and the chain closed all of its 2,500 U.S. and Canadian stores as a result.
