KC firm makes big investment in South African tech company

A Kansas City-based private equity and venture capital firm has made a sizable investment in a South African tech company.  Five Elms Capital invested $30 million in Skynamo, which developed a field sales mobile app and cloud-based management platform for manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors.
