An explosion felt across the Houston area in the early morning hours of Friday, Jan. 24, reportedly damaged nearby homes and other buildings. The blast occurred around 4:24 a.m. in the 4500 block of Gessner Road, according to reports. HPD Chief Art Acevdeo tweeted that the debris field from the explosion extended about half a mile.
