Newsom says government must remove institutional racism

California Gov. Gavin Newsom said government needs to fix the systemic problems of racism that have never been resolved and that led to protests and violence over the weekend in big cities across the state. In a news conference Monday, Newsom spoke from Genesis Church in Sacramento’s Meadowview neighborhood and said racism is a deep stain on the country.
