Walmart adding 1,200 Shopify sellers to its e-commerce site

Walmart plans to join with Shopify to add 1,200 of the e-commerce platform’s small- and medium-business sellers to its Walmart Marketplace this year, a Walmart executive said in a company blog. The partnership will allow Shopify’s third-party sellers and small businesses to also list their items on Walmart.com, giving them access to traffic on the giant retailer’s website while giving Walmart customers access to a broader assortment, said Jeff Clementz, vice president, Walmart Marketplace.
