Good news: Orange County's resort tax collections weren't as bad in June as they were in May. The tax collections, which are put on the sale of hotel, motel and other short-term rentals, were at $2.629 million for June, Orange County reported on Aug. 6. Although that's down 89.2% from $24.217 million in June 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is up 136% from $1.14 million in May thanks to the June reopening of Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando, alongside other local attractions.…
