Golden Arrow Resources Corporation (CVE:GRG) (FRA:G6A) (OTCQB:GARWF) revealed the first results from its trenching program at the Esperanza property on the Flecha de Oro gold project in Argentina. The company said that results from a single vein on the property returned “significant” gold intervals in two separate trenches about 160 metres apart: 5 metres averaging 3 grams per ton (g/t) gold, including 2 metres averaging 6.2 g/t gold, and 1 metre averaging 5.5 g/t gold. Vancouver-based Golden Arrow started the trenching program at Flecha de Oro in December 2020, initially focusing on the Puzzle area before prioritizing Esperanza. An additional 15 trenches are underway, the company said in a statement. "We have seen from our previous surface sampling that there is widespread gold in the system at Esperanza, so we are encouraged to find some broader intervals in the near-surface that will help us vector into the heart of the system,” vice president exploration and development Brian McEwen said. Flecha de Oro includes the La Esperanza, Puzzle and Maquinchao properties that collectively make up nearly 14,000 hectares in central Rio Negro province. Golden Arrow has identified similarities in size and geologic style to the Cerro Vanguardia district to the south in Santa Cruz province that has produced 4.5 million ounces of gold, it told shareholders. The Phase I program is expected to continue through most of May.   Exploration update Separately, Golden Arrow said it had tapped Quantec Geoscience Chile Ltda to complete a new transient electromagnetic surface geophysical survey at its Rosales copper project in Chile. Also, the firm has delayed a planned follow-up drill program at its Tierra Dorada gold project in Paraguay until it receives permits allowing for deeper holes.
