Loop Insights Inc (CVE:MTRX) (OTCQB:RACMF), a data intelligence company driving tech innovation, said it has been chosen by Britain’s largest fuel distributor, Certas Energy UK Limited, to create a proof of concept to deploy its retail insights platform at several Certas gas stations across the UK. The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company noted that the opportunity to validate its technology gives it access to the £4.5 billion UK gasoline station sector. Certas supplies around 500 Gulf and Pace branded sites and operates 100 company-owned locations in the UK, according to KPMG. The move will allow Loop to integrate its retail insights and loyalty program with Certas’ customer engagement scheme, providing Certas with a mobile-friendly platform for motorists, said the company. The agreement with Certas represents Loop’s latest partnership with a leading energy provider, which will allow us the opportunity to further demonstrate the power of Loop’s analytics dashboard and loyalty program. I expect this proof of concept will be a success for both Loop and Certas as we optimize their operations.” Loop’s mobile Wallet pass platform will also allow Certas to drive promotions directly to drivers, increasing spend, while building brand loyalty. “Loop’s retail insights platform and loyalty capabilities have the potential to greatly enhance Certas’ services in the forecourt sector,” said Matt Willcocks, the retail fuel pricing and strategy manager at Certas Energy. “We're excited to see how Loop's real-time data on fuel sales, pricing, stock levels and discounts, as well as the engagement opportunities, could help us optimize our retail operations," he added. While delivering on the proof of concept, Loop will deploy its Fobi Internet of Things (IoT) hardware device at Certas gas station and convenience stores to collect key retail information. It will also provide a mobile loyalty program through Loop’s Wallet pass platform that can be integrated with the Certas loyalty system. Certas will have access to Loop’s web-based analytical dashboard to aggregate the data collected by Loop’s Fobi devices, and transmit it to its own database. On completing the proof of concept, both companies will work on a case study on the “measured values and benefits” of the Loop platform, with the potential to expand Loop’s services to new Certas sites and businesses. “Following a joint case study, both Certas and Loop intend to pursue a continuation of the services provided as part of a master license and services agreement,” said the company. Loop is seeing continued success in the UK market, especially while tapping the retail, e-commerce and energy industries.
