Clayton-based Centene to pay $143M to Ohio, Mississippi to settle prescription pricing lawsuits

Centene Corp., the Clayton-based managed health care provider, has agreed to pay $88 million to Ohio and $55 million to Mississippi to settle allegations related to how it charged the states for prescriptions. The company set aside $1.1 billion to head off similar complaints from other states.
