Likido heat pump saves 75% in energy costs and lowers emissions Dalrada’s high-endurance generators offer 2%-8% efficiency gains Dalrada Health and Prakat tech provide high-value alternative solutions What Dalrada Corporation does: Dalrada Corporation (OTCQB:DFCO) is a global company specializing in the development of advanced clean energy, healthcare, technology and engineering products and services. The San Diego, California-based group was incorporated in 1982 with a mission to create impactful innovations. With a global footprint in Malaysia, UK, India and the US, the diversified group holds a portfolio of subsidiaries comprising early-stage high growth businesses. A snapshot of the group’s business units includes: Dalrada Precision focuses on engineering alternative solutions for original equipment manufacturers by designing and making bespoke components that are customized for specific solutions. Likido Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dalrada Precision, provides clean energy solutions. It produces heater/chiller units that provide simultaneous heating and cooling, without the need for combustion or burning fossil fuels. It offers energy savings for a range of industrial, commercial, and domestic applications. The company also produces high-endurance electric generators with off-grid and on-grid versions to ensure continuous delivery of power. Dalrada Technologies through Prakat Solutions provides product engineering and enterprise-level software services to the banking, financial services, telecom, retail, healthcare, and manufacturing industries. Prakat serves businesses of all sizes – from Fortune 50-ranked to small-to-medium clients – from its offices in India and the US. It sees demand for its services in support of business continuity, technology, and work-from-home solutions. Dalrada Healthcare has developed a single-use test kit for the detection of cervical cancer, which offers life-saving screening capability in places with limited healthcare infrastructure. It is pursuing national-scale orders in India and other countries. Empower Genomics, a product suite of Dalrada Health, offers a variety of tests to assist individuals with reaching optimal health. Dalrada Health’s regenerative therapy division uses alternative options such as stem cells and rehabilitation products and services, combined with genomic products for better outcomes. As a drug-free treatment, the division provides regenerative therapy as a solution for the treatment of cellular breakdown associated with aging and a variety of other conditions. International Health Group (IHG), a division of Dalrada Health, provides training, certification, and staffing services for nursing and healthcare assistants, including CAN and HHA training. IHG became the first nursing school in San Diego to offer a fast-track 22-day CAN certification program, which offers IHG a significant competitive advantage. How is it doing: Dalrada Corporation has accelerated innovation and growth in 2021. For its fiscal third quarter ended March 31, 2021, Dalrada achieved 352% year-on-year revenue growth of $1,588,329, compared to $351,324 in the same period in 2020. This bested quarter-over-quarter revenue by 50%, compared to $1,055,517 in fiscal 2Q at the end of December 2020. On May 24, Dalrada appointed medical expert Dr David Bacon to its board, as the group advances Dalrada Health’s product lines. Dr Bacon is an active US Navy Captain with 22 years of service. During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Dr Bacon was responsible for reviewing proposals for funding in the areas of therapeutics, diagnostics, and wearable monitors. Earlier in May, Dalrada Health launched a custom-labeled suite of genomics tests through Empower Genomics that help individuals with reaching optimal health. The company said Empower Genomics has a variety of tests on Pharmacogenomics (PGx), Cannabis DNA, Nutrition and Diet, and Exercise and Fitness which are aimed at “healthcare practitioners, researchers, and individuals to identify ways to improve overall well-being.” For example, its Pharmacogenomics Test analyzes how a person’s genes respond to specific medications, whereas the Cannabis DNA Test determines how an individual metabolizes and responds to consuming specific strains of cannabis. Similarly, the Nutrition DNA Test reveals 43 genetic traits related to diet, eating behaviors and nutritional needs. Interestingly, the company said, the Exercise and Fitness test provides “unfiltered access to how bodies respond to physical exercise by identifying 31 genetic traits that are essential including strength, recovery, and performance.” The global genomics market is expected to touch $54.4 billion by 2025 from $22.7 billion in 2020, according to Dalrada. Simultaneously, Dalrada Health is pursuing national scale orders in India and other countries for its single-use test kit for the detection of cervical cancer. On April 29, Dalrada kick-started the development of LikidoHOME, an energy-efficient home water heater designed by its portfolio company Likido. The LikidoHOME residential water heater improves energy efficiencies by 300% with its high-temperature supercritical carbon dioxide (CO₂) micro heat pump. “Additional benefits include dramatically reducing carbon emissions and saving consumers up to 80% on energy,” said the group. With its patent-pending design, LikidoHOME has the potential to replace the world’s gas-fired and electric water heaters. The group’s initial focus is on the UK, European Union, and US market. In the UK, gas boiler water heaters are to be banned by 2025 in newly built homes. By 2035, fossil fuel-burning boiler water heaters will be phased out. Meanwhile, the group’s LikidoONE industrial heat pump has a low carbon “all-in-one heating and cooling pump design.” The beauty of the LikidoONE system is that it operates in a “combined heating and cooling mode” producing 160 kilowatts (kW) of high-grade heat, while it extracts 120kW of cooling at traditional temperatures for an electrical input of just 37kW, for a 1:8 coefficient of performance (COP). Significantly, LikidoONE is environment-friendly as opposed to the standard way heating and cooling works in hotels which rely on hot water heaters/boilers coupled with environmentally damaging HFC-based conventional chillers and cooling towers or HFC-based heat pumps. Earlier in April, Dalrada said its subsidiary Prakat Solutions was partnering up with Dragonchain Inc to boost business workflow efficiencies. Focused on accountability, supply chain transparency, and secure, real-time data access for global industries, Dalrada said Prakat’s Dragonchain solutions are aimed at creating solutions in healthcare, fintech and manufacturing. A busy April also saw Dalrada clock up the first sales of its new LikidoVOLT clean energy generators to Hidden Villa Ranch, one of the world’s biggest distributors of cage-free, organic eggs and dairy products. “Accelerated production is underway in response to significant interest from customers,” noted the company. Dalrada’s emission-reducing solutions — LikidoVOLT generators, LikidoCRYO chillers, and LikidoONE heating/cooling units — are all Made in USA. Inflection points: • Growth in multiple business units especially Dalrada Health • Revenue ramp up through new customer orders for Likido products • Prakat Solutions winning lucrative new contracts What the boss says: In a recent earnings statement, Dalrada Corporation CEO Brian Bonar said: “Dalrada is an innovation company and accelerating growth consistently amid the current business climate is a testament to Dalrada’s perseverance. Dalrada would like to thank its shareholders and the public for supporting the company’s mission as it continues to create alternative innovations that advance industries including clean energy, engineering, science and health, and technology.”  Contact the author Uttara Choudhury at uttara@proactiveinvestors.com Follow her on Twitter: @UttaraProactive
