Dalrada Corporation named three new directors Bijan R Kian, Jose Arrieta, and Kyle McCollum to its board, as the diversified group enters a new growth phase with many global initiatives.  With a global footprint in Malaysia, UK, India and the US, the San Diego, California-based diversified group holds a portfolio of subsidiaries comprising early-stage high growth businesses.  In a statement, Dalrada CEO Brian Bonar said: “Dalrada is excited to report new growth with its Board of Directors that expands and accelerates the company’s global initiatives in engineering and technology, health, and clean energy.”  READ: Dalrada breaks new ground with engineering, technology, health and clean energy solutions “The Honorable Bijan R Kian, Jose Arrieta, and Kyle McCollum are known for their extensive industry experience in global trade and international security, disruptive emerging technologies, and global finance, respectively.” Twice confirmed by the US Senate, Kian has served three US presidents from both major political parties. He formerly served as a deputy lead on the Office of Director of National Intelligence for the Presidential Transition Team and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Export-Import Bank of the US, White House Business Council, and director of Foreign Investment for the State of California. Kian is recognized as a senior executive in global trade and international security. A graduate of the University of Brighton in 1979, he continued his education at Oxford, Harvard Kennedy School, and MIT. A Fellow at the Royal Society of Arts in the UK, Kian is also the recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, which has also been awarded to seven US presidents. Meanwhile, Arrieta is the former Chief Information Officer and interim Chief Data Officer of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). He is a respected leader in applying emerging technologies – especially blockchain, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and process automation. He oversaw $6.3 billion in IT investments, $800 billion in grants, and $26 billion in federal contracts in his last three years at HHS. Arrieta has published articles on valuing disruptive technology companies and the importance of industry-government communications. “He led the creation and implementation of the largest public health surveillance capability in the United States during the pandemic,” said the company. At Johns Hopkins University, Arrieta created and teaches the first blockchain course (blockchain and cryptos) as well as entrepreneurial finance. Dalrada CFO Kyle McCollum, who has also been inducted into the board has nearly two decades of experience in accounting, finance, and management. He brings expertise across a spectrum of industries and functionalities including finance, investment strategy, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, fund structuring, fundraising, and investor relations. With the new directors, Dalrada’s board is now composed of 12 members, which include among others, Dalrada founder and CEO Bonar, Dr David Bacon, clean energy expert Tom Giles, entrepreneur Pauline Gourdie, and Fawad Nisar.
