When it comes to movies, the biggest studio blockbusters rarely receive recognition during award season. Music is a different story.

The Grammy's are voted on solely by music creators, ranging from artists to engineers, so critics don't get a say. That naturally skews the votes, resulting in a field of nominations that errs towards industry darlings and ubiquitous hits rather than critical favorites... or does it?
