Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis Downplays The Coronavirus Delta ‘Variant Of Concern’

As the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Tuesday labeled the Delta variant of the novel coronavirus a “variant of concern,” Gov. Ron DeSantis downplayed the potential impact it could have on the state, on the same day the U.S. passed more than 600,000 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
