Former Washington Supreme Court Justice Rosselle Pekelis, ‘a force of nature,’ dies at 81

Her career on the bench began in 1981, when she was sworn in as a judge on the King County Superior Court. She spent nine years on the Court of Appeals before becoming  the fourth-ever woman justice on state Supreme Court.
