DHS to issue first-ever cybersecurity regulations for pipelines

A unit of the Department of Homeland Security will issue a directive this week requiring pipeline companies to report cyber incidents to federal authorities, officials said, and will follow up with a more robust set of mandatory rules for safeguarding pipeline systems and the steps to take if they are hacked.
