Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signs law creating voting restrictions as opponents sue

The GOP law, which Democrats had blocked for weeks by fleeing the state to deny Republicans in the state House a quorum, already faces two challenges in federal court, with nearly two dozen organizations and individuals suing Republican leaders and election officials.
