Navjot Singh Sidhu resigns as Punjab minister

Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has resigned as Punjab minister. Last month, after the cabinet reshuffle, Sidhu was assigned the portfolio of new and renewable energy. ​The Congress leader posted his resignation letter, addressed to Rahul Gandhi, on his official Twitter account. An 'adamant' Sidhu has not assumed the new charge since June 6.
