Saturday, 12 October 2019 Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday said Jammu and Kashmir and abrogation of provisions of Article 370 is India's internal matter. "Nobody in the world made a comment on it, whether it be the US, UK, European Union, Russia or China," Prasad said.
Union Minister for Communications, Electronics and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad announced that Zoya Khan is India's first transgender operator of a Common Service Centre (CSC) in Gujarat. "Zoya Khan is India's first transgender operator of Common Service Centre from Vadodara district of Gujarat. She has started CSC work with telemedicine consultation," read Prasad's tweet. While taking to ANI, Zoya Khan said, "I will work for poor people through the welfare schemes of CSC and for my community also."

He said, "For security and sovereignty of India, for countrymen's digital security and privacy we have banned 59 apps, including TikTok." Pulwama, is a leading producer of milk in Jammu and Kashmir with the production of 310 thousand tones of milk in 2019-20. Milk cooperatives in the district have been pivotal in enhancing the income of farmers and have attracted educated youth towards this lucrative practice. In order to provide marketing and other facilities, District administration of Pulwama has also established Automatic Milk Collection Centres (AMCCs) across Pulwama, so that these youth who collect milk under this scheme can sell their milk at these centres. The milk is then supplied to other districts of Kashmir valley.The Umeed programme under the Jammu Kashmir State Rural Livelihood Mission (JKSRLM) is a Centre sponsored scheme to encourage youth to be self dependent and self sufficient. Under this scheme, youth of Pulwama both boys and girls have established milk societies. The beneficiaries of this UMEED scheme hailed the efforts taken by the district administration as now not only they earn for themselves but also provide employment to others of Pulwama district.
Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar on July 4 visited the residence of a civilian, who was killed during an encounter between terrorists and security forces in Sopore on July 1. He was accompanied by other senior police officers during the visit. IGP Kumar paid condolences to the family members and prayed for the departed soul. A jawan had also died while three personnel were injured in encounter. The civilian was killed by terrorists on July 1 in Sopore. Heart-wrenching images of a 3-year-old boy, grandson of the deceased had emerged from the encounter site.

A Pakistani drone, loaded with a sophisticated rifle and some grenades, was shot down by the BSF along the International Border in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on June 21. Pakistan is also sending illegal consignments of narcotics and drugs and is also indulged in infiltrating terrorist ranks.
A batch of 250 residents of Jammu and Kashmir returned from Pakistan on June 25 via the Attari-Wagah border. Shivraj Singh Bal, SDM, Amritsar-2, said, "748 Indians have registered themselves to return to the country out of which 250 people of J and K are returning today." "There are around 400 passengers of J and K, and they will be sent directly to Lakhanpur from Attari and they will be further quarantined in the state only," the SDM added.
