Jordan- Fair weather forecast Saturday almost countrywide-JMD

(MENAFN - Jordan News Agency) Amman, May 8 (Petra)-Mercury is set to rise on Saturday, and the weather will be fair in the highlands and plains, and hot in the desert areas, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with northwesterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.According to the JMD report, a warm spell will relatively scorch the Kingdom on Sunday and temps will record rates higher than their normal averages by about 7-9 Celsius degrees, and the weather will be relatively hot in the highlands and sizzling in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.Meanwhile, Monday will see a slight drop in temperatures, and the weather will be moderate in the highlands and plains, and hot in the Badia regions, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with the possibility of light and scattered showers of rain, especially in the Kingdom's southern and eastern regions, the JMD said.Also on Saturday, mercury in in Amman will range between 32C, dropping to 20C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a scorching 41C, dipping into 23 during night hours.
