The NPD Group Names Lori Monaco as President, U.S. Beauty

The NPD Group today announces that Lori Monaco, formerly president of the firm’s Fashion Footwear, Accessories, and Luxury divisions, has been named president of its U.S. Beauty practice. In her new role, Monaco will be responsible for overseeing NPD’s portfolio of U.S. beauty services and product offerings.

Monaco has over 25 years of experience in market research, strategy, consumer insights, and business development spanning numerous industries, including fashion, footwear, accessories, food, beverage, and packaged goods. She has been with NPD since 2003, during which she helped spearhead the effort to launch the firm’s tracking services for watches and jewelry. In June 2018, she was the recipient of the President’s Award at The Accessories Council’s 22nd annual ACE Awards, which honor individuals and companies who have furthered the awareness and use of accessories.

“Lori’s passion and enthusiasm resonates not only within the NPD organization, but makes her a highly respected and well-known presence in the industries she touches. As we look to take our Beauty business to the next level, Lori’s expertise will allow us to partner with clients in new and different ways, and identify additional opportunities to help grow their businesses,” said Joanne Sackett, president of NPD’s Softlines sector.

As a result of Monaco’s move, Sarah Bloch assumes the role of commercial lead for NPD’s Fashion Footwear and Accessories practice. Bloch, who has been with NPD for three years, has over 16 years of experience in the footwear industry, and serves as Vice Chair of the Two Ten Footwear Foundation’s Associate Board. Liz Cutting joins NPD’s U.S. Watches team as the commercial lead. Cutting, who has more than 25 years of marketing and analysis experience, most recently served as Executive Director of NPD’s Checkout service.
