Durham Bulls Team Up with Triangle-Based Engineering Firm to Celebrate Community Tradition

*DURHAM, NC / ACCESSWIRE / May 6, 2021 / *With North Carolina's cherished minor league baseball tradition set to resume at long last, *Durham Bulls* fans are more eager than ever to hear the crack of the bat and the roar of the crowd. Ahead of opening day on May 11, the Bulls announced a new alliance with *The Wooten Company*, a civil and building systems engineering firm headquartered in *Downtown Raleigh*.

As a feature of the partnership, Bulls enthusiasts can celebrate the team's tradition through social media posts that conjure up the magic moments and simple joy of being at the ballpark through the years. Wooten will also offer fans chances to win Bulls prize packs in online promotions and have an in-stadium presence to join in cheering on the home team to victory.

Seven years later, fans began filling the stands of the newly minted *Durham Bulls Athletic Park* (DBAP), which would become the crown jewel of the reimagined *American Tobacco Campus*. The organization helped cultivate major league talent, including beloved Hall of Famer *Chipper Jones*, as an integral part of the *Atlanta Braves* farm system for 17 years. Since 1998 the Bulls have been a *Tampa Bay Rays* affiliate. In that time the team has topped the regular season standings six times and claimed two Triple-A class titles.

The season-long partnership marks the first such collaboration between the Bulls and Wooten. After the pandemic effectively rained out the entire 2020 season, the DBAP will open its gates this year with reduced capacity and follow clear health safety guidelines.
