Down three runs headed into the ninth inning, the Kansas City Royals managed to put two on the board but ultimately fell short, losing 5-4 to the Chicago Cubs. All five of the Cubs' runs on Monday night came via the home run, with Jason Heyward, Wilson Contreras and Jason Kipnis each hitting one. The Cubs once again got a stellar pitching performance from their starter, this time Kyle Hendricks.
